LRM_DC_VC - Define Data Controller

Maintain the data controller as is relevant to your company.
You use this activity to define data controller. The data controller is an attribute in the SAP system used during reporting on personal data and retention rule maintenance. The attribute groups different organizational attributes (for example, company code) and includes further automatically assigned organizational attributes (for example, sales organizations of a company code).
This activity contains three subtasks:
- Define Data Controller
- Assign Organization Entities
- Set Conditions for Organization Entities
The changes in the above subtasks are logged under the Change Document Object ILM_DCRF_CONF and you can view the changes using transaction ILM_CHDOC_DCRF.
The organization entity should exist.
Define Data Controller
To define data controller, proceed as follows:
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter Data Controller Name.
- Enter Description.
- Choose Save.
Assign Organization Entities
To assign organization entities, proceed as follows:
- Select a data controller.
- Choose Assign Organization Entitiesfrom the Dialog Structure.
- Choose New Entries.
- Select an Organization Entity.
- Note: You can assign multiple organization entities.
- Choose Save.
Set Conditions for Organization Entities
To set conditions, proceed as follows:
- Select an organization entity.
- Choose Set Conditions for Organization Entities from the Dialog Structure.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter Range from Value.
- Enter Range to Value.
- Note: You can specify either one of the Range from Valueor Range to Valueor both. You can also assign multiple conditions.
- Choose Save.
- Select a condition.
- Choose Show Derived Org. Entities Conditions.
- Note: If derived organization entities exist for the selected condition they are displayed.
