This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used for the app SAP HCM Manager Insight. You can use this BAdI to compile a list of managers that is displayed as a default value in the app. The app users can modify this list by removing managers from the list or adding extra managers to the list.

In the standard SAP system, the BAdI uses the fallback class LWMHR_CL_MYM_FB_MANAGER to determine the list of managers. This class evaluates the relationship Is Responsible For/ Is in Area of Responsibility Of (741) between the position of the talent management specialist (object type S) and the organizational unit (object type O). If the talent management specialist opens the app SAP HCM Manager Insight as a user, the class LWMHR_CL_MYM_FB_MANAGER determines all organizational units that belong to his or her area of responsibility. For the organizational units, the class determines the managers that are assigned to each chief position.

If the fallback class does not find any managers using the relationship 741, it evaluates the relationship manages ... / is managed by ... (012) between the user's position (object type S) and the organizational unit (object type O) instead. When the user accesses the app, the class first determines the personnel number that is assigned to his or her user. The class then determines the position for this personnel number. It uses the relationship 012 to determine all organizational units that are managed by this position. For the organizational units, the class determines the managers that are assigned to each chief position. The list of managers in the app then contains these managers as well as the user.

If the fallback class cannot determine any managers, the list of managers in SAP HCM Manager Insight is empty by default. The app users then need to search for managers themselves and add them to the list.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single, or multiple uses), see the Enh. Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.

If you compile your own list of managers that is to be displayed as a default value in the app, create a customer-specific implementation of this BAdI.
