LWMHR_MYM_DR_FIELDS - Add Fields to Field Selection Catalog
General Material Data General Data in Customer MasterThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity you can add your own fields to the field selection that is offered in the views for configuring user interfaces. These fields are then available for configuring user interfaces.
For the system to be able to fill these fields with data, you must ensure that your own fields are included in a (customer-specific) implementation of the BAdI definition BADI_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS. This implementation must use the category that you specified for your own fields as the filter value. In addition to the field names and category, you define the BAdI field name that the field is to have in the BAdI methods.
The following cases can de differentiated:
- Case A: You want to add a customer-specific field with your own category.
- In this case, you need to create your own BAdI implementation that contains the category as a filter criterion.
- Case B: You want to add a field that corresponds to a field from the Personal Data infotype (0002) or from the Other Personal Data infotype (0077) as an additional field.
-
In this case, you need to assign either SAP_IT0002 or SAP_IT0077 to the field as the category. It is
sufficient to enter the same field name that the field has in the infotype structure as the BAdI field
name. Note that values that do not correspond may be returned as return values. In this case, the BAdI
name should refer to the description of the value that can usually be obtained via
_TEXT .
SAP provides standard fields that follow the SAP_* naming convention.
- Add your own fields to the field selection as required.
- Assign a category to these fields.
- In the Customizing activity BAdI: Evaluate Fields for Data Retrieval, ensure that the fields are included in a customer BAdI implementation that uses the assigned category as the filter value.
