MCLIBEFCV_SYS_TYPE - MCLIBEFCV SYS TYPE

Short Description of Function

The system has to distinguish in the Billing Engine (BE) Framework whether the current SAP development system is a core development system, an enhancement package (EhP) development system, a core support package system or an EhP support package system.

In an SAP EhP development system, the system has to use the transport object BEFE for BE metadata transports. In all other SAP development systems the system has to use the transport object BEFT. In customer development/correction systems the transport object BEFT is always used.

The table BEFC_SYS_TYPE was created because there are no SAP NetWeaver system settings that we can use to distinguish between these senarios. The view BEFCV_SYS_TYPE has to be maintained in SAP development systems and the current system has to be categorized as described above before BE Framework metadata can be transported. In customer systems, the view BEFCV_SYS_TYPE does not need to be maintained because in this case the transport object BEFT is always used.

The categorization of the SAP development system is client independent.
