Short Description of Function

The system uses meta BAPIs to call function modules in external systems. If, for example, a purchase order is to be created in a back-end system, the meta BAPI META_PO_CREATE first determines the designated driver function module for this back-end system.
The meta BAPI calls the function module META_BAPI_DISPATCH, which (in the standard) identifies the driver function module using the business object, the method, and the system type from the table BBP_FUNCTION_MAP.
