Short Description of Function

This view is needed to enable the determination of the required minimum distribution for an accountholder/IRA plan owner. The required minimum distribution for each year can be found by dividing the IRA account balance as of the close of business on December 31 of the preceding year, by the applicable distribution period. (source: IRS publication 590). The life expectancy of an accountholder is age dependent. Using this table the life expectancy vs age can be maintained.

This view is intended to maintain the distribution period for accountholders/IRA plan owners age 70 and above.

Since the values in this table are published by a central governmental organization, it is undesirable that multiple different versions can exist simultaneously for different groups of users. Client dependency can easily result in a situation that the table entries differ for different groups of users. Therefore, legal liability claims may result if this view would have been client dependent.
