MDG_CDS_CHNGREC_MIGR - Enable Change Analytics for Preexisting Change Document Data

You can use this report to enable the use of preexisting change document data (data created before you activate the MDG_FOUNDATION_12 business function) in Change Analytics. These documents are created during the change request process.
This report optimizes preexisting change document data for performance purposes and stores it in a side-car database table. Change documents created after you activate MDG_FOUNDATION_12, automatically store the data in this way and you don’t need to run the report.
Older change documents save creation of master data as a change. So, creating a single business partner could result in many updated fields. To avoid seeing this information in your apps you can use the in-app filters such as Change Request Type or Business Activity.
You can also use this report to delete the change document data stored in the side-car database table.
If errors occur during report execution, optimizing aborts completely with no partial optimization. You can repeat the optimization, in this case the data stored from previous optimizations is overwritten.
You can also use transaction SM36 to create a background job to execute the enablement. To create the job, first create a variant in this report, then go to SM36, and use the report name MDG_CDS_CHNGREC_MIGRATE and your new variant.
You have activated business function MDG_FOUNDATION_12 and your chosen data model.

3.,,To see detailed logs about the optimization, go to the application log (transaction SLG1) and search for the Object MDG_CDS and Sub-Object MDG_CDS_CHNGREC.
