MDG_ES_TEMPL - Create Search Object Connector Templates

In this Customizing activity, you create search object connector templates for the business object types you want to search for in the staging area. For master data governance, you create the search object connector templates on the basis of data models. You then use the templates in the administration cockpit to create search object connectors.

• Enterprise Search has been installed and activated in the system.

• TREX server has been configured.

• In the Customizing activity Edit Data Model,you have activated the data model for the master data object for which a template needs to be generated. Also, all the related Customizing settings have been made.

• In the Customizing activity Generate Data Model-specific Structures, you have generated structures of the type ES structures .

The standard system contains the following two search object connector templates:

• MDG_BUSINESS_PARTNER (software component: SAP_BS_FND)

• MDG_MATERIAL (software component: SAP_APPL)
