This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Master Data Governance for Material (CA-MDG-APP-MM) component. You can use this BAdI to define customer-specific inbound mapping and application processing.

This BAdI contains the following methods:

INBOUND_PROCESSING,,

The Inbound processing method is used when the service interface is extended or the logic needs to be extended by the customer. In this method you map the element in the standard business logic to the corresponding extended element of the Service Interface in the ESR. You can also maintain the error handling for the mapping logic here.

DO_PRE_APPLICATION_PROCESSING,,

This method is called before the standard save logic for the active and staging areas. This allows you to handle the save of any customer-specific extensions to the active area.

DO_POST_APPLICATION_PROCESSING,,

This method is called after the standard save logic for the active and staging areas. This allows you to handle the save of any customer-specific extensions to the active or staging areas. This method should not create new change requests as this is already done in the standard SAP logic based on the customization check.

INBOUND_KEYMAPPING

This method is used for providing Key mapping for Material IDs, this method returns receiver IDs.

OUTBOUND_PROCESSING

This method is not used in Master Data Governance 6.1.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enh. Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

For information about implementing BAdIs as part of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
