MGE_00_GP_CURCONVDAT - Define Date for Currency Conversion
Addresses (Business Address Services) General Material DataThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the following components:
- Management of Global Employees (PA-GE)
- Payroll for Global Employees (PY-XX-GP)
This BAdI enables you to define the conversion date for currency conversion rules. SAP R/3 uses this date to read the TCURR table (Exchange Rates). It specifies the key date on which the exchange rate is taken.
In the Management of Global Employeescomponent, the currency conversion rules are used for compensation packages.
In the Payroll for Global Employees component, the currency conversion rules determine the exchange rate that is used to convert the wage types of the sending payroll into the currency of the receiving payroll. During processing, the BAdI is called by the XGP function (Payroll for Global Employees) in the receiving payroll.
To use the BAdI in Management of Global Employees, you must make the following settings in the Customizing for Personnel Management under Management of Global Employees -> Assignment Master Data:
- Under Business Add-Ins -> Date Rules for Currency Conversion, create a date rule.
- You use this date rule as filter value for the implementation of the BAdI.
Under Currency Conversion Rules, assign a currency conversion rule to the date rule.
To use the BAdI in Payroll for Global Employees, you must make the following settings in the Customizing for>Payroll> in the Payroll for Global Employees section:
- Under Date Rules -> Define Date Rules for Currency Conversion, create a date rule.
- You use this date rule as filter value for the implementation of the BAdI.
- Under Define Currency Conversion Rules, assign a currency conversion rule to the date rule.
In the standard system, the BAdI is used in the date rule FY (First Day of Calendar Year).
The BAdI is filter-dependent. Create an implementation for each date rule.
You can, for example, define that the conversion takes place according to the exchange rate that was valid on the first day of the current year. In the standard system, this is realized by the HR_CCR_FIRST_YEAR implementation for the date rule FY, for example.
