In this step, you maintain the currency fluctuation protection used in infotype Assignment Activation Details (0707). This enables you to specify the strong currency you want to use to protect a global employee's compensation package against the risks of inflation.

No preliminary steps required.

The SAP system is shipped with an empty table you can use to store any applicable currency within your company.

  1. Click New entries.
  2. Select the home and host countries.
  3. Delimit the record.
  4. Enter the percentage of the salary that is paid in the strong currency in the home and host country.
  5. Select the stable currency.
  6. Save your entries.

Suppose a global employee's base salary CPI amounts to 3500 Argentinian pesos. You may decide to pay 30% in pesos and convert 70% to USD, whereafter both amounts are copied to their respective wage types, as defined in the activity Maintain Mapping Table for Activation.
