SAP E-Book

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in In-store Merchandise and inventory Management - Fiori Apps (LO-RFM-STO-FIO) component.

You can use this BAdI to control the generation of store picking requests and grouping of information which is displayed in Process Picking Requests application.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (Transaction SE18).

By default, SAP implementation logic for generation of store picking requests is based on the sequence maintained in Maintain Picking Sequence application.

Using this BAdI, you can override the default implementation which is based on merchandise category or article hierarchy nodes as per your business requirements. For example, you can maintain picking sequence based on the shelf space, article attributes, storage area for a store.

Parameters

The following list contains only parameters that require additional information.

Importing Parameters

PRODUCTS_IN: Contains the information about the products for which the product sequence is populated.

Changing Parameters

PRODUCT_SEQUENCE_OUT: Populates necessary information such as group ID, description, sequence for the product.

  • Product: Product for which necessary information is populated
  • Group ID: Group to which the product belongs to
  • Description: Description of the group to which the product belongs. Description is displayed in the Process Picking Requests application.
Note: The description must be language dependent.
  • Sequence: Sequence number of the group to which the product belongs

The generation of store picking requests is based on the sequence you have defined by using the sequence parameter. For example, detergents must not be placed in the same picking container (box or bag) as food items. You can provide different sequence number for such products. The objective is to minimize the travel time during picking.

However, by using group ID, description, and sequence parameters all together helps to group the products and display them in the Process Picking Requests application. For example, you can show shelf space description against the group of articles.
