In this Customizing activity, you define the values for default version profile to be used when creating shop floor routing versions and rework routings.

The following settings are available for the version profile:

  • Default Version Profile
Specifies the profile to be used as the default profile when creating new shop floor routing versions.
  • Default Rework
Specifies a profile to be used as the default profile when creating a rework routing. In this case, you can only select the checkboxes, successive, numeric, change record required, usage, and status. The other settings are not relevant for rework routings.
  • Successive
Specifies that you can only create new versions using the version of the routing that still has the status Last Released. This means that only the last version of the routing to be released can be copied and used in a new version. You cannot choose any released version of the routing to copy to a new version.
  • Numeric
Specifies that you can only use numeric values to name your versions.
  • Change Record Required
Specifies that the new routing has to be assigned to a change record before it can be released.
  • Upgrade
Instructs the system to search for a new MBOM version when you create a new routing version. If a new MBOM version exists, it is automatically updated in the new routing version.
  • Single
If selected, specifies that only one MBOM can be assigned to a routing version.
  • Usage
The default setting is 1 for Production.
  • Status
The default setting is 4 for Released (General)
  • Flexible
Specifies that the operations of the shop floor routing can be processed in any sequence in execution.
  • Scenario
You can enable workflow procedures for shop floor routings by entering a workflow scenario. The workflow scenario WS02000467 is available as standard.
  • OpNo Fixed
This setting is only relevant for creating reference templates of the type, operation or operation set.
If selected, the checkbox specifies that the operation numbers of a reference operation or a reference operation set are fixed and cannot be changed locally when the template is inserted into a shop floor routing.

Note:
These settings are all default settings that you can change as necessary when creating a new routing - with the exception of the upgrade setting. If the upgrade checkbox is selected in the profile, the system always checks to see whether a new version for the MBOM exists and automatically uses the new version.

If you require a different version profile, create a new one, save your entries, and make it the default version profile.
