MPM_OEE_REASON_CODE - Define Global Reason Codes

In this Customizing activity, you define the first three levels of the reason code hierarchy. These three levels are applicable to all the plants within a global hierarchy.

You map the reason codes to the data element types that you define in Define Data Element Types. You can map to data element types belonging to the loss category.

You add plant level reason codes to the global reason code hierarchy while defining the plant reason codes in SAP ERP. This mapping enables you to analyze the performance of your organization at a global level based on the global reason codes you define here.

You have made the customizing settings for Define Data Element Types under Production-> Overall Equipment Effectiveness.

1. Enter a reason code ID and description of the global reason code you want to define.
2. You can map the reason codes to an existing reason code from the Quality Managementmodule. To do this, enter the relevant data in the Catalog, Code Group and Code fields.
3. Map the reason code to an appropriate data element type belonging to the loss category.

You must specify the data element type for global reason code levels 2 and 3. All reason codes that you assign to a reason code hierarchy, including the ones that you assign at the plant level, must be mapped to the same data element type.

1. Save your entries.
