Materials that are not fully interchangeable with each other can still be restricted or one-way interchangeable.

Use the Interchangeability Code to describe the conditions, extraordinary determining factors or prerequisites under which a material can exchange another.

Maintain the possible Interchangeability Codes here.

You create an Interchangeability Code for Inventory-Managed Manufacturer Part with category "03 Restricted Interchangeability for Inventory-Managed MPN". In such a case the Interchangeability Code is two characters long.
