Activate the refund controls and enter your own refund control descriptions for different refund types.

In this Customizing activity, you define which values of the refund control parameter (see refund control) you want to use in Advanced Returns Management.
You can also enter your own descriptions for the refund control values.

You can activate the refund controls that you want to use in customer returns. With the refund controls, you can specify how and when the refund for a returns order is to be processed.

Also, you can rename the standard refund controls by entering your own descriptions. For each refund control, you can enter a generic description that applies to both refund types (credit memo and replacement product), or you can enter a specific description for each refund type.

The system uses the configuration settings in the following specific-to-general priority order depending on the text availability:

  1. The specific descriptions of different refund types
  2. The general description that applies to both refund types
  3. The uneditable refund control description in the first column

All values of the refund control parameter are active by default.
The system uses the standard description for the values of the refund control parameter.

All the refund controls are active by default. The system provides the standard refund control descriptions that apply to both or different refund types.

  1. Deselect the values of the refund control parameter that you do not want to use.
  2. Enter your own description for the values of the refund control parameter that you want to rename.
  3. Deactivate the refund controls that you don't use.
Note: The refund controls and the follow-up activities are closely related. For certain follow-up activities, only certain refund controls can be used. For example, a refund is not applicable if you select the follow-up activity Send Back to Customer(0021). So, in this example, do not deactivate the "No Refund" refund control if follow-up activity 0021 is used.
  1. Enter your own refund control descriptions if you want to rename the standard descriptions.
