In Behavioral Insights, a reason is defined as the influencing factor for prediction scenarios.

In the Maintain ReasonCustomizing activity, you can configure new reason codes. You can also edit the reason text for an existing reason code.

The scenario ID to be assigned to the reason must be created using the Maintain ScenarioCustomizing activity.

To add a new reason, you must enter the following details:

• Scenario ID: Select an existing scenario ID from the list of IDs.

• Reason Code: Specify a unique code for the reason. Reason codes are features used to train and predict Machine Learning scenarios, which have the maximum influence on predictions. The reason codes must have been previously created as features in the corresponding training and prediction CDS views.

• Reason Text: Specify a meaningful reason text for the reason code that is to be displayed on the Behavioral Insights application UI.

• Currency Relevant: Select this check box to indicate that currency is relevant for the reason.
