M_TPMMO_GRPVAR - Define Group Variants for Pegging and Distribution

In this Customizing activity, you define group variants to override the standard SAP selection logic for the grouping WBS elements with a customer-specific logic.

When a user executes the pegging program RPMMOPEG or the distribution program RPMMO_DISTRIBUTION in the PMMO system, they can use the group variant ID to select predefined grouping WBS elements. This group variant ID allows the user to execute customer code and logic.

The following steps are required to use the group variant ID in the application:

1. Define the group variant ID in this Customizing activity.
2. Create a new subclass (for instance Z_CL_PMMO_PEGDIS_UTILITIES) using transaction SE24.

• This new subclass should use the superclass CL_PMMO_PEGDIS_UTILITIES delivered by SAP.

• In the new subclass, redefine the method GET_GROUPING_WBS_ELEMENTS_VARwith the customer’s logic.

• Store the result of list of group WBS elements in the return parameter RT_GROUP_WBS_ELEMENTS.

1. Perform the Customizing activity Replace SAP PMMO Classes with Customer Classes and enter your new customer-specific subclass.

You can use the group variant ID in the pegging report PMMO_PEGGING in the application.
