Here you control the field properties of the of the recipient detail dialog for the combination of recipient type and dispatch method. A separate setting can be made for each one of various recipient types and dispatch methods.

The field control data is used by the application with the following prioritization:

• If there is a field control entry in which both dispatch method and recipient type match a recipient’s data, this entry is used for the field control.

• If there is both an entry with appropriate dispatch method and initial recipient type and an entry with suitable appropriate type and initial dispatch method, both entries are combined:
  A check is made for each field to determine which of the two relevant field control entries contains the higher value. In each case the higher value prevails and is used for the field control for this field.

• If there is an entry with appropriate dispatch method and initial recipient type, it is used.

• If there is an entry with appropriate recipient type and initial dispatch method, it is used.

• If there are no relevant entries, each field becomes the optional input field.

Define one of the following properties for the fields:

0 hidden

1 output field

2 input field

3 required entry field

The e-mail address is a required entry field in a mail dispatch, with a conventional post dispatch this field can be hidden.

Expedient presettings of shipped recipient types and dispatch types are shipped with BC set ISH_N2_DOCDISPATCH_FIELD_CTL. BC sets are imported using transaction SCPR20. For further information see the help provided with the transaction.
