In this Customizing activity, you define patient accounting record (PAR) categories and assign them to patient accounting record types. PAR categories are used to further categorize a PAR based on its type.
You also assign the PAR view groups that you define in Customizing activity Define Patient Accounting Record View Groups to the respective categories.
Categories for the PAR type "Episode of Care": Outpatient case, inpatient case, episode
Categories for the PAR type "Encounter": Visit, contact, admission, transfer
