OALE_VARIANTMSG_SE38 - Define Variants

In this step, you schedule variants for the following program:

• RBDMIDOC: Generate IDocs from Change Pointers

A variant catalog has already been created for the standard message types for RBDMIDOC. You can use and enhance these variants.

• Check which variants are already defined.

• Create a variant for each message type (such as material master, customer master), if none exists.

• To do this, execute the function and enter "RBDMIDOC", then choose Variants and Change.

• Enter a name for the variant and choose Create.

• Enter the message type (for example, MATMAS).

• Maintain the attributes for the variant.

• Save the variant.

• Repeat the process until variants have been created for all master data message types.
