In this Customizing activity, you define the server settings for the applications that are used. If nothing else, you need to set up the default value, which is the DEFAULTapplication.

For the SAP SuccessFactors integration, you also assign a customer-specific value for the company-id field as part of the application server assignment. The company ID is part of the authentication request sent to the SAP SuccessFactors platform.

SAP delivers the following definitions:

  • Application ID DEFAULT in transaction CLB2_APPLI
  • Service provider type SuccessFactors in transaction CLB2_PTYPE
  • The server definition SFSF productive as part of transaction CLB2_PLATF_DEF

  1. Assign the DEFAULT application to the SAP SuccessFactors server as follows:
  • Application ID: DEFAULT
  • Service Provider Type: SuccessFactors
  • Server: SFSF productive
  1. For the SAP SuccessFactors application-server assignment, configure the server settings as follows:
  • Ext. Application ID: The API key obtained when you registered the OAuth 2.0 client in the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • HTTP Timeout: The timeout for HTTP requests sent to the service provider:
Value Description
Number greater than 0 (1,2,3,...) Timeout in seconds
0 Use default timeout
-1 No timeout

  1. In the Extensions list, set the company_id parameter to the company ID you use for SAP SuccessFactors.
  2. Save your entries.
