SAP E-Book

In this activity you determine the data scope that is transmitted from mySAP Business Packages (Portals) from the area of mySAP Product Lifecycle Management to the WEB Frontend.
The following mySAP Business Packages transmit the data:

  • mySAP Business Package for Products
  • mySAP Business Package for Assets
  • mySAP Business Package for Projects

The data selection takes place with reference to the function that you want to execute on a WEB Frontend.
So that this data is presented in a clear form, compile several fields in a Field Group.

See Field Group

For every field that shoudl be displayed in a Business Package, you must make the following setting:

  1. Select New Entries. This takes you to the detail screen.
  2. Select the functions that determine the desired object data.
  3. Enter a counter for sorting the data fields.
  4. From the possible entries first select the database table, then select the field.
  5. If the field should be displayed in a particular tab, then enter the desired data group.
  6. If necessary, set the indicatorDefault Field.

You can also restrict this function-related data selection for a User Group.(See: Select Data Fields for User Groups)
