OFFDOCNO_TH_008 - Define Allocation Keys

Use

In this and the following IMG activity, you customize the system so that it assigns automatically generated accounting documents to the correct business place.

In most cases, the system determines the business place from the plant (from the IMG activity Assign Business Places to Plants). But these settings do not work (for technical reasons):

• If, in the transactions Create Billing Document or Change Billing Document, you release a billing document to Financial Accounting and you have not assigned a business place to the plant in the document

• If you use the Reconciliation Ledger

• If you process inbound IDocs that result in accounting documents being posted

It is the settings for these cases that you customize here.

Note

These activities use the same views as the activities under Business Place Determination for Payment Program. However, the entries that you make are different.

Example

You want the system to assign almost all accounting documents automatically generated for company code TH01 to business place 0000.

The only exception is documents generated by the Reconciliation Ledger (transaction KALC), which must be assigned to business place 0001.
