OFTP_MD_002_08 - Define Synonyms for Airports
SUBST_MERGE_LIST - merge external lists to one complete list with #if... logic for R3up BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header dataThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this activity you define synonyms for IATA locations. These synonyms are only used for flight availability querys.
If the trip destination in the travel plan (or the destination entered as the 1st destination in the general trip data) is maintained in this table, the corresponding IATA location(s) will be provided for selection as the destination airport on the requirements screen for the flight availability query.
You can assign a single destination to multiple IATA locations.
A default destination airport will only be determined if no flight legs already exist for this travel plan.
Employees from your company regularly travel to Walldorf, Germany. To reach this destination, your employee may need to fly to either Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Strassbourg (depending on what flights are offered from the departing city/location).
To allow users to call up these destination airports by entering 'Walldorf' you would make the following table entries:
WALLDORF FRA |
WALLDORF STR |
WALLDORF SXB |
When the user enters 'Walldorf' as the trip destination, and chooses 'flight', he is provided with a selection pop-up with the options:
FRA Frankfurt |
STR Stuttgart |
SXB Strassbourg |
He can then select the destination airport from this list, or manually enter a different airport as required.
