OFTP_NF_007_04 - Define Valid Means of Identification

In this IMG activity you specify the valid means of identification for the different airlines. Identification is required both for corporate programs and for electronic tickets (ETIX) to authenticate the traveler.

Possible means of identification are credit cards, frequent flyer numbers, passports, national ID cards, driver's licenses, and others means with local validity. Since the airlines have established their own individual requirements regarding identification, these requirements need to be defined in the system for each airline.

After reserving a flight connection that is valid for a corporate program and confirming the intent to use the program, the traveler must specify his or her identification. Once the settings have been made for this activity, only the means of identification that have been defined for the airline are available on the input screen.
