OFTR_ES_001_00 - Other Travel Services (Overview)

In this step, you can configure the use of other travel services in travel requests in the Web Dynpro ABAP user interface.

You can define special travel services such as the ones listed below, in addition to the standard services (flight, hotel, rental car, and train), so they can be selected by your users in travel requests:

• Ferry

• Helicopter

• Airport shuttle

This section of Customizing reuses IMG activities of travel planning.

For example, other travel services of both travel requests and travel planning are dependent on groupings to be able to access external reservation systems (even though travel requests do not use a connection to external reservation systems.) This kind of reuse has the following benefits:

• You can define different groups of other travel services, which you then assign to different users and/or travelers.

• Users can transfer the other travel services from travel requests to travel plans.

If you use travel planning in addtion to travel requests, you can make the settings for other travel services in travel planning, as well. See Define Groupings for Access to External Reservation Systems.
