In this step, you define layout formats for the remuneration statement in the note to payee.

A layout format contains the following information:

  • Subapplication
The subapplication defines which wage types are to be displayed in which order.
  • Number of lines
The maximum permitted number of lines in the note to payee (depending on the data medium format).
  • Number of columns
The wage types can be printed with several columns.
However, please note that due to the restricted line length, this will leave less space for the individual wage types (column length).
  • Column length
The length (number of characters) of an individual wage type column.
  • Start position of the wage type name
The wage type name (cumulation wage type text) is printed at this position within a column.
  • Start position of the wage type value
The wage type value (amount or number) is printed at this position within a column.
  • Length of the wage type value
The total length of the amount (without leading sign).
  • Start position for printing the leading sign
The leading sign (BLANK or '-') is printed at this position within a column.

You must have defined at least one layout format.

Example:

Number of lines: 25, number of columns: 1, column length: 20, start position wage type name: 1, start position wage type value: 10 (the name is therefore maximum 9 digits), length of the wage type value: 10, start position leading sign: 19.
With this format, the wage types appear in the note to payee (example with 3 wage types) as follows:
1---------10--------20
Gross 100.000,00
Net 45.123,57
Deductions 2.536,34-

  1. Find out about the restrictions regarding the number of lines and line length in the data medium format used for the bank transfers.
  2. Enter the maximum number of lines and your desired formatting options (number of columns, column length, start positions, and so on) under a new format key.
  3. Make sure that the values for the number of columns, column length, and positions comply with the data medium format (max. number of lines and line length). In particular, the number of columns multiplied by the column length should not exceed the data medium format’s maximum line length.

Note that under no circumstances whatsoever can more than 50 characters be transferred per note to payee line, even if the data medium format permits longer lines.
