SAP E-Book

In this activity, you set up the maximum and minimum contribution bases. You also define the rounding types for these contribution limits, as well as the amount of the contribution.

In view V_T5APBS08 (Maximum and Minimum Contribution Bases) define whether a maximum and minimum contribution basis should be applied for each contribution and contribution amount, and if so, what these should be. If you do not specify any constants for the maximum and minimum contribution bases, the system does not perform any capping or increase. If you want the system to apply a maximum or minimum contribution basis, enter the name of the constant. The constant must be entered in view V_T511K (Payroll Parameters).

The system can apply the assessment limits on a daily and monthly basis. If you want the system to apply the constant on a monthly basis, set indicator Monthly CB in view V_T5APBS08. It is not possible to switch between daily and monthly application within a month. The monthly maximum or minimum contribution basis is calculated as the daily maximum or minimum contribution basis multiplied by 30.

You can define the following rounding methods for the contribution bases and contribution amounts:

  • No rounding
This corresponds to two decimal places.
  • Rounding to whole amounts (for example euro)
  • Rounding to one decimal place (for example cent)

The system rounds amounts below 0.005, 0.05 or 0,5 to 0 and values above these amounts to 0.01, 0.1 or 1 respectively.

The following constants are used in the standard system:

  • V2ATK (BVA: Daily Max. CB for regular payment)
  • V2MTK (BVA: Daily Min. CB for regular payment)
  • V2SJK (BVA: Annual Max. CB for special payments)
  • V1ATK (GKK: Daily Max. CB for regular payment)
  • V1SJK (GKK: Annual Max. CB for special payments)

The existence of multiple insurance in accordance with § 19 Para. 8 B-KUVG is a special case: In the event of multiple health insurance in accordance with B-KUVG and one or more other federal laws, the information about the minimum contribution basis must not be applied during determination of the contribution basis.
This ruling is included in the standard system. In infotype Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014), a switch wage type (SAP sample wage type P024) must be specified for multiple insurance. If technical wage type /M01 derived from this exists in the payroll, the system does not apply the minimum contribution basis.

The standard system also does not apply the minimum contribution basis if there is a grace period for cession of the payments (see also Flag Absences for Special Handling).

  1. Choose Check Contribution Bases and Roundings.
Check the entered constants for the maximum and minimum contribution limits, the type of capping and the roundings.
  1. In the following activities, check the amounts for the maximum and minimum contribution limits.
Note whether the constants apply on a daily or yearly basis.
  1. If necessary, create your own constants.

In view V_T5APBS08 (Maximum and Minimum Contribution Bases), an entry must be created for SI group 2 (public sector) for every SI body, contribution group, and contribution amount or contribution.

For more information, see Contributions and Contribution Amounts.
