In this IMG activity, you make the settings for enhanced pension insurance in accordance with the law on pension harmonization, article 9, change to the salary law of 1956. For this, in activity SI - Public Sector: SI Modifier - Assign Percentages, you define the employee group for which contributions are to be calculated in a uniform way. You also make the assignment between the defined person groups and the individual percentages.

The law includes contribution calculation for the following federal

government officials:

  • Civil servant with life tenure before Jan. 1, 2005. Born after Jan. 1, 1955. The following calculation modes exist for this group:
  • Table 1 for category-1 federal government officials (entered before May 1, 1995 and born before Dec. 1, 1959). This person group is mapped by SI modifier P2.

  • Table 2 for category-2 federal government officials (entered after May 1, 1995 or entered before May 1, 1995 and born after Dec. 1, 1959). This person group is mapped by SI modifier P3.

The year of birth-dependent percentages to be applied for these two groups are different, while determination of the contribution basis is identical.

The contribution bases for regular and special payments are summarized in customer exit BGI. To this end, the bases of contribution types Pension Contribution (PB) and Pension Contribution Side Charge Bonuses (PN) are jointly regarded as the contribution basis (PB).

The contributions of regular payments are calculated by applying percentage 1 up to the maximum contribution 1 and applying percentage 2 to the portion above the maximum contribution basis.

The monthly maximum contribution basis limit for special payments for pension contributions is calculated by halving the monthly regular maximum contribution basis.

  • For the calculation of contributions of contribution types AL PBand AL PNin accordance with the law on pension harmonization, customer exits BGI (Override Contribution Bases incl. Correction Wage Types) and BTR (Override Percentages) must be activated. Implement appropriate processing in the customer exits for your organizational structure.
As a template for your implementation, you can use the program examples Pension Harmonization from Jan. 1, 2005 for customer exits BGI and BTR. If you copy the program examples to the exits without making any changes, Enhanced Pension Contribution Calculation II (Pension Harmonization) is carried out for the IS grouping [SI group = 2, SI body = 01, Techn. contribution group = BVA (SI grouping in SAP standard system for government officials )] from Jan 1, 2005.
  • In view V_T5APBS08 (Maximum and Minimum Contribution Bases), a maximum contribution basis must not be entered for the contribution types for which processing in accordance with the pension harmonization law is to be used.
  • In the SAP standard system for the public sector Austria, enhanced pension calculation II is deactivated.

Person groups (SI Modif.) P2and P3are assigned to the personnel number with SI group 2, SI body 01 and technical contribution group BVA.

  • View V_T5APBS14II (SI Public Sector: SI Modifier - Assign Percentages) contains the contribution percentages valid according to the pension harmonization law art. 9 as sample entries.
  1. Call up SI Modifier - Assign Percentages.
  2. Check the existing entries in the view and modify or add to them as necessary to meet your requirements.
Note
For SI modifiers P2 and P3, value Not Relevant must be selected from the input help in field Pension Type.
