OHAARIN014 - Define rules for severance pay calculation

In this step you define the rules for the calculation of severance pay. These rules depend on the type of contract, the type of contract termination, the type of severance pay and the work regime for the severance pay calculation.

Before performing this activity you can:

1. Create contract termination types:

The contract termination type is a sub-type of the infotype Contract termination (0551). If you wish to create a new sub-type of this infotype, follow the instructions listed in Personnel administration -> Personnel administration -> Payroll data -> Contract termination -> Define contract termination types.

1. Create severance pay types:

You identify severance pay types using severance pay codes. If you wish to create your own severance pay codes, follow the instructions listed in Define severance pay codes, in the section Payroll accounting Argentina-> Severance pay-> General settings-> Define severance pay codes.

Before creating new contract termination types and/or new severance pay types, check whether the entries provided by SAP satisfy the needs of your company.

Activities

To perform this activity:

1. Select a work regime for the severance pay calculation, a contract type, a contract termination type and a severance pay code in the combination that corresponds with the payment calculation of a severance pay.
2. For this combination enter:
   a) The wage type you use as the basis for the corresponding severance pay calculation,
   b) If necessary, a percentage to apply to the wage type indicated above.
3. Save your entries.
