In this section of the Implementation Guide you can adapt the rule used to define types of absences regarded as unjustified absences of the employee which are relevant during calculation of leave entitlement.

This activity must only be performed if the generation of the legal leave entitlement is executed via report RPTME00.

Before performing this step you must ensure that the following processes were previously created:

  1. Absence types: Time management -> Time data administration and recording -> Absences -> Absences catalog -> Define absence types.
  2. A copy of the time evaluation scheme TM00 to an own-scheme (ZTM0, for example): Payroll -> Payroll Brazil -> Absences --> Maintain scheme to activate PWR/control acquisition period.
  3. A copy of the sub-scheme BRT1 to a new one with a name allowed to users (ZTR1, for example) and an insertion of the same into the new main scheme for time management ZTM0.

If necessary, adapt the given calculation rule to the needs of your company. That could happen, for example, if you use absence type codes different from the ones given by the standard rule.

  1. Check standard rule given by SAP.
  2. Copy standard rule BRT3 to another rule with a new name, for example, ZRT3.
  3. Make the necessary changes. For example: override absence type code 0350 by the one specially created for your company.
  4. Override:
    1. The call of the new rule ZRT3 in new sub-scheme ZRT1 (from where it can be accessed).
    2. The call of the sub-scheme ZRT1 in the new time management main scheme ZTM0.
  5. Save and activate your new objects.

For further information on how to copy calculation rules, please see specific documentation for the transaction in the menu option Help --> Application help.
