Normal Factory Shutdown Fund

This fund is meant to help workers dismissed after a factory shutdown and for whom compensation or salary cannot be paid by the employer.

It applies to employers in the industrial and commercial sector employing both blue and white collar workers.

The percentage is stipulated by the government on the basis of the number of active workers during the previous calendar year.

Special Factory Shutdown Fund

This fund is meant to finance unemployment benefits for employees who suffer economic unemployment, technical failures, bad weather, and so on.

It applies to both private and public sector employers, regardless of the number of active workers during the previous calendar year.

The fund is financed by all the employees who pay unemployment contributions.

The rate is equal to 0.22% of the annual gross salary and is collected on a quarterly basis.

Existence Security Fund contribution

This is a sector-dependent employer contribution meant to finance additional benefits or compensations.

The rate is stipulated by the Existence Security Fund management committee itself.

  1. The 'Factory Shutdown' view contains parameters concerning the Factory Shutdown Fund.
  2. The 'Employer category' view contains all the employer categories (General, Civil service, etc.).
