SAP E-Book

In this step, you store the number of active workers in your company in table 'Active persons of a company plant' (T5BV8). On the basis of this number, the system determines the percentage to apply for (one of) the following employer contributions:

  • Normal Factory Shutdown Fund contribution (FSF),
  • Existence Security Fund contribution (ESF),
  • Additional Unemployment contribution.

For each company, you should enter:

  • The number of active employees on June 30th of the previous calendar year,
  • The average number of active employees during the previous calendar year.

The number of active workers of the previous year is used for the calculation of the SI contributions of the current year.

The SAP R/3 System contains sample entries.

Add the number of active persons of the previous year before starting the first payroll calculation of the current year.

  1. Delete the sample entries you don't want to use.
  2. For each company address code linked to a company's head office (see also Authorities) and each calendar year, create a record containing the number of active employees on June 30th and the average number of employees.
