In this Customizing activity, you define the settings for the special social insurance (SI) contribution.

The special SI contribution is an income-related and family-related contribution deducted from an employee's salary on a monthly basis. The calculation is made on a quarterly basis. More precisely, the special SI contribution is based on the taxable household income and on the family status. For example, married couples are considered as one household. The monthly contribution and the settlement are detailed on the pay slip, and the annual settlement on the tax return.

The system contains all the scales you need to calculate the special SI contribution.

You can check the scales using the SI special contributions 1996 (T5BVM) table. This table contains the fixed amounts and percentages of the special SI contribution, listed by period, income scale, and family status.

On the other hand, you also have to specify the value you want to use in the second parameter of the Calculate SI reductions(BSV00) function. This can be either the RAM (legal regulation) or the RLM (Best Business Practice) value. Basically, both calculation methods are the same, except that the contribution amount is settled differently (regularisatie/ régularisation).

Do not change the special contributions table, unless legal changes occur.
