SAP E-Book

In this work step you establish when you want to start working with the new calculation regulations for the social insurance.

The validity period of subcomponent SV01 defines the start date for the new social insurance.

In the standard system, the new social insurance takes effect as of 1998.

If you choose to start at a later date, the following views/tables must be modified.

  1. Wage types - Views V_512W_D,V_512W_B
    1. New wage types in the standard system are valid as of 01/01/98; the start date can be used, even if you implement the new social insurance at a later date.
    2. Model wage types delimited to 01/01/98:
You must delimit all customer wage types, which until now have been cumulated in wage types /104 and /105, to 01/01/98. Wage type /105(NBU-Base) becomes invalid. There is no replacement. Cumulation in wage types /115 and /116 begins as of 1.1.1900!
    3. Obsolete technical wage types that are only valid till 31.12.1998:
Extend the validity period of these wage types until the end of the year, when you begin start to use the new SI.
  2. Wage types - View V_T511: The wage types for third party payments M602 and so on, become deduction wage types when the new SI comes into effect.
  3. Net gross ups - View V_T541N: Extend the validity period of the old iteration wage types (/15x) and postpone accordingly the validity of the new iteration wage types (/17x, /V7x).

If you begin using the new SI on 1.1.98, you must delimit your model wage types to this date (see point 1).

You may only move to the new social insurance at the beginning of a new calendar year as wrong accounting results would otherwise occur.

According to the validity period, the system checks in the net part of payroll, whether the new social insurance system is in operation.

Furthermore, the validity period is also used in the old social insurance, so that the transition from the old to the new systems are recognized in retroactive accounting. The old SI does not work according to the outflow/inflow principle. This means that no outflow wage types are generated for the new year with retroactive wage payments.

If the move to the new SI occurs on 1.1.98, outflows must already be written with the retroactive accounting in the year 1997. The required functions CHSV PORT (in schema CHVA) along with CHSV ZUAB in schemas CHV2, CHV1 and CHM1 are called up for both old and new SI and are generated in the old SI inflows/outflows according to the new SI start date, and are then processed within the new SI validity period.
