In this step, you can predefine a fixed value for various CPS parameters.

You use the various parameters in the cases described below. If none of the cases apply to your enterprise, you do not need to process this step.

  • If infotype Basic Pay (0008) is missing:
If, for example, a testator’s surviving dependents are set without the Basic Pay (0008) infotype, the pay scale information required for payroll can be defined using parameters.
SAP recommends that you create the Basic Pay (0008) infotype for all employees, therefore also for surviving dependents. This is because of the authorization check for the payroll transactions that is linked with this infotype.
  • Deviating infotype/subtype for determining the surviving dependents:
In the standard system, a testator’s surviving dependents are determined using infotype Family/Related Persons (0009), subtype Testator CPS (DE01). If you use a different subtype to determine the surviving dependent’s, you must specify this subtype here.
  • If you use entitlement variants:
If you use entitlements with entitlement variants, but do not consistently use rules everywhere in Customizing for the combination of entitlement and entitlement variant, you can define an entitlement variant instead.
  • Using a customer report to transfer contributions and income:
In the standard system, you have the Transfer Contributions/Income CPS (RPCWUBD0) report available for transferring contributions and income from payroll to the CPS database. Report RPCWUBD0 is not only executed directly to transfer contributions and income, but is also used for simulations. For simulations, report RPCWUBD0 is executed using SUBMIT. If you want to use a customer report for the (notional) transfer of contributions/income in simulations, you must specify the name of this report in the DBAS parameter. You thus ensure that your own report is run instead of report RPCWUBD0.
  • Employee Self-Service (ESS) Status Legal Right to Future Pension Payments (ITS):
Transaction HRESSDE_AVST enables an employee to use self-services to gather information about the status of legal rights to future pension payments. SUBMIT is used to call the statement driver that processes an appropriate SAPscript form. The statement driver requires a statement ID that is determined using system parameter BWST. A printer must be specified for formatting the SAPscript form. You do this by specifying system parameter PRNT.
  • Employee Self-Service (ESS) Status Legal Right to Future Pension Payments (Web Dynpro):
Function module HRXSS_DE_AVRP_GET_PDF provides an employee in a self-service with a statement about the status of his or her legal right to future pension payments. System parameter PRNT defines the printer (for formatting of the form). You can use system parameter BWST (statement ID) to set an alternative form, and ARCH (use archived statement) to set the use of archived statements rather than the creation of new statements.
