SAP E-Book

In this step, you define the supplementary pension funds that are relevant for Payroll. Each supplementary pension fund (SPF) must be created with a two-character identifier in the table of supplementary pension fund institutions. The entries in the subsequent tables are assigned to particular supplementary pension funds based on the entries in this table.

A company has a personnel subarea in both pay scale area West and pay scale area East. Employees in pay scale area West come under VBL Karlsruhe and employees in pay scale area East come under ZVK Thüringen. The employer assigns each of the supplementary pension funds a different key, and can therefore differentiate between pay scale areas when setting up the system.

If the employees are also insured by the VBL in pay scale area East, you must create two supplementary pension funds so that the different contribution percentage rates can be entered.

In the standard system, following table entries are preset:

  • VBL Karlsruhe (West) with the key 01
  • VBL Karlsruhe (Ost) with the key 02
  • Sample SPF with the key 03 and a "dummy" SPF (in accordance with the West pay scale).
  • Contribution-based SPI with the key 10
  • SPI with a combination model with the key 20
(The combination model is a combination of the contribution amount and the funding principle.)

All entries can be copied to a key in the customer namespace and then set up accordingly. To convert key 03 to the East pay scale, see the settings under key 02.

To create a new supplementary pension fund, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose New entries on the initial screen.
The SPF table appears.
  1. Assign the supplementary pension fund a numerical value, and enter the value in the SPF Key field. Enter the name of the supplementary pension fund in the next field.
  2. Choose Save.

Instead of entering data from scratch, you can copy one of the SAP model entries. All information for the model entry is also copied. Proceed as follows:

  1. Flag the model entry in the SPF table overview.
  2. Choose Copy.
The SPF table containing model entry data appears.
  1. Change the contents of the SPF Key field and the SPF Description field.
  2. Choose Save.
