In this IMG activity, you assign to each payroll area the procedure after which the contribution statement is to be generated.

Note:
The ID only refers to contributions from remuneration whose due date is defined in sec. 23 of SGB IV. It is always assumed for contributions from pension payments that billing is live.
Payroll areas for retirees:
Payroll areas that are only used for retirees must still be indicated. You indicate them as “Contribution statements from live billing”.

Grouping salary and wage recipients into one contribution statement:
You have a payroll area for those salary recipients, whose payroll must be completed before the third-to-last bank business day of the month. You have a different payroll area for wage recipients, whose payroll can only be completed after the third-to-last bank business day of the month, which therefore needs an estimation procedure for the contribution statement. In this case, you enter for each payroll area in the Procedure for Expected Due Contributions table whether an estimation procedure must be used or whether the final results are already available at the time the contribution statement is generated. The contribution statement is launched with the selected estimation procedure. Employees whose payroll areas have final payroll results are added to the contribution statement and their contributions are thus documented.
  1. In the Procedure for Expected Due Contributions table view, enter the start of the validity period for each payroll area and assign a procedure from the selection list for the contribution statement.
  2. Choose Save.
