In this Customizing activity, you enter the encryption number of the hospital as well as the institution category, institute indicator, and the eSTATISTIK.core identifier for transferring the data.

The six-digit encryption number is allocated by the responsible State Statistics Office. It is composed of the two-digit state number (federal state) and the four-digit hospital number.

State number and hospital number = > encryption number

In the statistics according to the statistical regulatory requirements for hospitals (KHStatV), this encryption number must be provided on the transferred data record.

You have received the encryption number for your hospital from the responsible State Statistics Office. You have registered on the eSTATISTIK.core portal of the Federal and State Statistical Offices.

Enter the six-digit encryption number as follows in the Hospital Details group box:

  1. From the selection list for the State, select the state that corresponds to the first two digits (for example, 08 Baden Wuerttemberg).
  2. In the Hospital Number input field, enter the remaining four digits of the encryption number (this is the number of your hospital).
  3. Also maintain the institution category of your hospital and the associated institute indicator.
  4. In the Specific Details for Sender Statistics group box, in the eStatistic ID field, enter the identifier assigned to you in the eSTATISTIK.core portal.
  5. Choose Save.

  • Characters 1-2:,,08,,-> State numberfor the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg
  • Characters 3-6:,,4711,,-> Hospital number
