For the hospital statistics (report RPSPAYDE_KHSTAT), you need to assign various statistics characteristics to personnel cases. The term statistics characteristics groups the following fields from the hospital statistics:

  • Medical specialist and core competencies (Med.AreaFocus)
  • Functional areas of doctors ( Med.Function)
  • Professions of non-medical personnel (Non-Med.Prof.)
  • Functional areas of non-medical personnel (Non-Med.Function)
  • Specialist departments of nurses (SpecialistDeptNursingStaff_KH)
  • Nursing further training (CareFurtherTrainingIntensive, and so on)

You have several options available that you can use to assign the statistics characteristics to the respective personnel case.

  1. Direct assignment via the infotypes Public Sector Germany Statistics, subtype Hospital Statistics (0271):
For each statistics characteristic, infotype 0271 contains an input field that you can use to assign the characteristics directly.
  1. Assignment via infotype 0271 using exception indicators:
In infotype 0271, you can also select exception indicators that you created using the Customizing activity Define Exceptions. The statistics characteristics are then determined via their assignment to the exception indicators in the table view V_T5D7V_KHST.
  1. Direct assignment via Customizing:
You can use the following Customizing activities to assign statistics characteristics directly.

  1. Assignment via Customizing using exception indicators:
You can use the following Customizing activities to assign exception indicators based on organizational data:

It is your choice which of the 4 options mentioned you use. In principle, it is also permitted to use a combination of all options. In this case, the following prioritization applies to the evaluation:

The statistics characteristics are prioritized in the order stated above, meaning that a statistics characteristic assigned directly via infotype 0271 overrides the assignments from other sources. Assignment via infotype 0271 using exception indicators overrides the assignment via Customizing, and so on.

If multiple values are assigned to a statistics characteristic within an evaluation level, an error is raised. The only exception to this is the direct assignment via Customizing based on the position, job, and organizational unit (table view V_T77PAYDE_KHST7): The order mentioned is also used for prioritization here, meaning that an assignment based on the position overrides the assignments via the job and organizational unit. In the same way, an assignment via the job overrides any assignment via the organizational unit.
