SAP E-Book

In this step you determine how the employer's contribution for capital formation is calculated.

In the standard system, the employer's contribution is calculated using function DVB in personnel calculation schema DWB0. There are no conditions linked to calculating the employer's contribution, that is, the fixed employer's contribution is generally calculated for the employee.
If you want to follow this procedure in your enterprise, you do not need to carry out any further steps.

In addition to this, SAP offers two other options for calculating the employer's contribution:
Firstly, you can connect calculation to the condition that your employee worked for at least one hour in the relevant payroll period. In this case, the system only calculates the employer's contribution if the employee worked for at least one hour. This condition is realized by means of rule DVE5.
Secondly, the calculation can be carried out according to the employment percentage. In this case, the employer's contribution is reduced by a percentage according to the capacity utilization level of the employee from the Basic Pay infotype (0008). This condition is realized using the personnel calculation rule DVE6.
Instead of reducing the employer contribution according to the capacity utilization level from the Basic Pay infotype, you can, alternatively, make a reduction according to the capacity utilization level from the Planned Working Time infotype (0007). In this case you must enter the record layout field EMPCT (employment percentage from infotype 0007) in the personnel calculation rule DVE6, instead of the record layout field BSGRD (capacity utilization level from infotype 0008).

In addition to this, it is also possible to link a condition specific to your enterprise to the calculation of the employer's contribution. To do this you must create a customer specific rule, which represents the enterprise's condition and enter it at the appropriate point in the personnel calculation schema.

  1. Enter * in line DVB AG in column D. This deactivates calculation of the employer's contribution without a condition.
  2. Decide whether you want to use one of the two SAP options or require a customer specific rule.
  • To use one of the SAP options: Activate the selected option by removing the * from column D in one of the two lines of the personnel calculation schema:
  • in line DVB DVE5 GEN NOAB AG if you want to calculate the employer share only for employees who have worked at least one hour.

  • in line DVB DVE6 GEN NOAB AG if you want to calculate the employer share depending on the employment percentage.

  • To use a customer specific rule:
  • Create your own rule, representing your enterprise's condition for calculating the employer's contribution. To do this, choose the function for creating a Customer-specific rule. You may want to use rules DVE5 or DVE6 as a model and copy them to create a customer specific rule.

  • Enter your customer specific rule in the personnel calculation schema DWBO.

Function DVB may only be active once in the personnel calculation schema DWBO.
