In this IMG activity you can define the sequence of symbols that the system will generate for the Spanish personal calendar. These symbols are used to display absences during a payroll period within the system. Each symbol corresponds to a particular calculation period that has a specific purpose (such as, for example, in the case of TD calculating benefits according to whether it is a case of TD for non-industrial disease or industrial disease, a bonus etc). The calculation bracket will be displayed within the system by the number of symbols generated. That is, one symbol will be generated for each day in the calculation bracket.

A temporary disability absence arising from a non-industrial disease, with a duration from 04/03/1998 to 04/10/1998, will be broken down into the following sequence of symbols:

N N N E E E E E,

where

N represents the first three days of TD,
E represents the compulsory company payments.

You must previously have defined the absences that are relevant for generating the Spanish personal calendar.

In accordance with the calculation periods set by Social Insurance, the system uses the following standard symbols:

For TD arising from industrial disease (IAID):

  • L: First welfare benefits bracket, 1 day
  • 5: Second welfare benefits bracket, 547 days

For TD arising from non-industrial disease (NID) :

  • N: First welfare benefits bracket, 3 days
  • E: Second welfare benefits bracket (company), 12 days
  • 1: Third welfare benefits bracket, 5 days
  • 3: Fourth welfare benefits bracket, 528 days

In the case of ID for childbirth leave for the biological mother:

  • M: Welfare benefits bracket (before 1995)
or company bonus period (from 1995), 112 days

If there is an overlap with holiday leave, the system will generate the following symbols:

For TD arising from industrial disease (IAID):

  • Y:overlap with L
  • 9: overlap with 5

For TD arising from non-industrial disease (NID) :

  • X: overlap with N
  • 7: overlap with 1
  • W: overlap with E
  • 8: overlap with 3

In the case of ID for childbirth leave for the biological mother:

  • Z: overlap with M
