In this IMG activity you define whether a specific day has to be taken into account when creating new deductions payables (IT 0887).

The following return values are possible:

  • " ": If the day has to be taken into account when calculating the new deduction payables.

As a result, the amount of the minimum wage for that period increases. If the new debt calculated cannot be deducted thoroughly, the remaining amount is transferred to the next payroll period.
  • "X": If the day is not relevant for calculating new deductions payables.

The amount of the minimum wage for the relevant payroll period does not increase. If there are outstanding debts from previous payroll periods they can be compensated in those days, but you cannot create new deductions for those days.

  1. Set the feature according to your company requirements.

Example

First example:

An employee is inactive until 04/10. His or her status changes to active from 04/11. You must not calculate new deductions payables for the inactive period.

In this case, you maintain the feature so that if the occupation status is different from "3" (for example, if an employee is not active), the return value is "X". A deduction is saved for that month (April) in infotype 0887.

Second example:

An employee has an unpaid 3nnn absence until 04/10. You must not calculate new deduction payables during that absence.

In this case, you maintain the feature so that the return value is "X" if the absence class is 3***.

A deduction for that month (April) is saved to the infotype 0887.

In both examples, the first time frame of the period, from 04/01 to 04/10 (10 days) is not taken into account when calculating new payables. Only the next 20 days (from 04/11 to 04/30) are taken into account for that calculation.

April day 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12...28 29 30
Return value X  X  X  X  X  X  X  X  X  X      ...

The total number of days relevant for deductions is 20. If a minimum daily wage of 19,02 EUR has to be taken into account for the deduction, payments with a value lower than 380,40 EUR or equal are not subject to deduction. withholding, no taxes should be applied to incomes of 380.40 EUR or less.
