In the following steps, you define the values for the pension-related fields of infotype Social Insurance Information (206) and link pension contracts to the correct pension insurance and payee.

The Finnish payroll program currently supports the following pension insurance types:

  • TEL (employees),
  • TaEL (artists and other employee categories),
  • LEL (temporary employees).

We strongly recommend you follow the steps as listed below and enter the information correctly, since it is also used for TEL reporting.

To maintain the pension insurance settings, you need to customize the following tables:

  • Pension insurance groups (T7FI03),
  • Pension insurance departments (T7FI04),
  • Pension insurance payees (T521B),
  • Pension insurance contracts (T7FI02),
  • Payroll constants table (T511K).

Pension insurance groups

In this table, you can define any existing groups at company level. Groups allow you to split your staff into several groups according to category.

  1. Click New entries and enter the following information:
  • Group number

  • Description

  1. Click Save.

Pension insurance departments

In this table, you can define any existing departments at company level. Departments allow you to split your staff into several departments to reflect the company's structure.

  1. Click New entries and enter the following information:
  • Department number

  • Description

  1. Click Save.

Pension insurance payees

In this table, you can define any applicable pension insurance fund. Payees are mainly used for transfer purposes. Note that the SAP system is shipped with a set of model payees, such as TAEL FIN (performing artists and other employees) and LEL-FIN (temporary employees).

  1. You can either change the model entries or click New entries and enter the following information:
  • Payee code and description

  • Start and end date to determine the valildity of the record

  • Payee address

  • Payee bank details, such as bank key and bank account

  1. Click Save.

Pension insurance contracts

In this table, you can assign a pension contract to the correct pension scheme and payee.

  1. Click New entries and enter the following information:
  • Contract id number

  • Payee (see previous step)

  • Number of the contract you want to assign to the pension insurance fund

  1. Click Save.

Payroll constants table

In this table, you maintain constant Employee pension contribution (EPPC). The value of this constant corresponds to the employee pension contribution and is deducted from the total taxable salary.
