In this step, you check the wage type settings for report TEL employment and year statement (HFILTEL0), which allows you to generate up-to-date information for the pension fund so that it can calculate the employees' accrued pension and the TEL employer contribution correctly. Depending on you choice, this report generates either a three-monthly statement reporting any start and termination of employment, or a yearly statement reporting the pay data of each employee, as well as the non-paid periods of the previous year.

For more information, see the corresponding report documentation.

Example

The following wage types have to be cumulated into the technical wage types TEL earnings (initial) (/TEL) and TEL benefits (initial) (/TEB), since for the start statement, the wage type amounts must be valid for the whole month and not on a prorata basis:

  • Monthly wage (M010),
  • Monthly salary (M020),
  • Hourly wage (M090),
  • Company car benefit (/4C0),
  • Company car, full benefit (B010),
  • Lunch coupon, benefit (B020),
  • Comp housing, benefit (B030),
  • Cellular phone, benefit (B040),
  • House loan, int. benefit (B050),
  • Stock options tax benefit (B060).

The standard rule used for TEL reporting is Add earnings to TEL employment (FITE). This rule adds the relevant wage types to the cumulation wage types /TEL and /TEB.

The standard subapplication used for TEL reporting is TEL reporting wage types (FTEL), which is linked to a set of TEL-relevant cumulation wage types:

  • TEL-relevant benefits (TELB), to which wage type Benefits (/104) is assigned.
  • TEL/TaEL gross amount (TELG), from which the wage types TEL/TaEL gross (/112) and Benefits (/104) are added to and subtracted from, respectively.
  • TEL Initial salary (TEIS), to which wage type TEL earnings (initial) (/TEL) is assigned.
  • TEL initial benefits (TEIB), to which wage type TEL benefits (initial) (/TEB) is assigned.

Check the following:

  1. Add the wage types used for the initial salary to cumulation wage type /TEL. Make sure that for these wage types the value of processing class Addings to TEL employment (71) is set to '1' (Add to TEL employment earnings (initial)).
  2. Add the wage types used for the initial benefits to cumulation wage type /TEB. Make sure that for these wage types the value of the above-mentioned processing class is set to '2' (Add to benefits (initial)).
  3. Check rule Add earnings to TEL employment (FITE).
  4. Check the settings of the reporting wage types in view cluster Validity and cumulation wage types for stat. subapplications (VC_T596A).

Do not make any changes unless necessary. Note that when you copy the model wage types, the settings of processing class 71 are taken over as is.
