OHAFI_UM022 - Maintain Processing Class and Its Specifications
PERFORM Short Reference CPI1466 during BackupThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this step, you can:
- Create processing classes and their specifications
- Create new specifications for existing processing classes
The processing classes that are provided with the standard system are stored in the SAP name range from 01 to 89. Processing classes 90 to 99 are available for customer entries.
- We recommend that you create new specifications in the customer name range only. This ensures that your entries are not overwritten at the next release upgrade.
- We recommend that you do not delete or modify any processing classes in the standard system, since this can lead to errors in the Payroll process.
To create a new processing class:
- Check which entries are still free in the customer name range.
- From the Dialog structure, call the relevant subdialog by double clicking Processing classes
- Choose New entries
- Enter the number and name of the new processing class.
- Save your entries.
To create new specifications for processing classes:
- Flag the relevant processing class.
- From the Dialog structure, call the relevant subdialog by double clicking Specifications processingclasses.
- Choose New entries.
- Enter a key and a description for the new specification.
- Save your entries.
