For Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP) and Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP) processing, Average Weekly Earnings (AWE) calculations for your employees are handled by the International Payroll Averages functionality.

Using the following four steps, you configure your AWE calculations for SMP, SPP and SAP in the Payroll Great Britain IMG section Averages:

  1. Bases for Valuation of Averages
  2. Create Bases for Calculating Average Values
  3. Create Calculation Rules for Averages
  4. Assign the Valuation of Absences to a Primary Wage Type
