Use

In this step, you assign specific Qualifying Days (of the week) to week types.

There are three distinct parts of this activity. You must:

  • Define a four-character identifier for each week type
  • Define a descriptive text for each week type
  • Assign a specific weekly pattern of Qualifying Days to each week type

Requirements

Qualifying Days are the days for which Statutory Sick Pay is paid. They should be those days which an employee is scheduled to work.

There must be at least one qualifying day in every week, even when an employee is not working. Where an employee is not required at all during one week, then you should mark the Qualifying Day as the Wednesday.

Standard settings

The week type "_PSP" has special characteristics as its pattern of days is completely ignored in SSP processing.

Instead, the QDP is derived from the working days assigned to the employee's Personal Shift Plan (PSP). The working days in the PSP are simply the days when the working hours are greater than zero.

Activities

  1. Execute this IMG activity.

    2. Maintain a descriptive text in the fieldText
    3. Assign a specific weekly pattern of Qualifying Days to each week type using the appropriate Qualifying Day Indicator(s)
  5. Save your entries.
