OHAHK_EY020 - Define End-Of-Year (EOY) Payment Scenarios

In your company, you may need to calculate different groups of employees' EOY payments differently. Examples of possible EOY payments calculations are:

  • EOY payments included with other payments in the regular payroll run.
  • EOY payments calculated separately in an off-cycle payroll run.

In this step, you define the different EOY payments in the system. Specifically, you define the following:

  • the EOY payment period.
  • the type of payroll run, and the off-cycle reasons if it is an off-cycle payroll run.
  • the payment date and the date used to indicate the calculation base.

For EOY payments (for the year 1999) to be calculated together with other payments in the regular payroll run, the following entry is required:

EOY period - 1/1/99 to 31/12/99
Pay type - Regular Run
Off-cycle Reason - not applicable
Pay date - 25/12/99
Calculation base date - 25/12/99

Create all the different EOY payment scenarios that are relevant for your company. To create a EOY payment scenario:

  1. Click on the New entries button.
  2. Enter all the appropriate information for a new EOY payment scenario.
  3. Save your entry.
